Chennai, July 10, 2025: Azim Premji University announces the launch of Executive MBA in Development Management, a one-year, full-time postgraduate programme especially tailored for working professionals. The inaugural cohort will begin in January 2026 at the University’s Bengaluru campus.
This programme responds to a growing demand for management education that goes beyond profit and performance to address the needs of society. Unlike conventional MBAs, it equips professionals to contribute meaningfully to organisations focused on social change, public good, and inclusive development.
The curriculum blends core management competencies such as finance, people management, project management, and organisational design with a strong grounding in development practice. Participants will engage deeply with challenges such as inequality, sustainability, and the functioning of public systems, preparing them to work effectively in India’s most complex social and economic contexts.

Applications are now open for the first batch. Professionals with a minimum of two years of experience, especially those working in or transitioning to the social sector, are encouraged to apply.
