FREE BICYCLE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME FLAG OFF AT KATTUPALLI 

Chennai, August 11, 2022: At a function today, Shri Jai Khurana, CEO – Southern Ports flagged of the proposed bicycle distribution programme from the Kattupalli Port along with members of the Adani Foundation team and port officials.

The Adani Foundation has planned to distribute a total of 476 bicycles amongst government school students who are studying in the 10th standard in the surrounding villages of Kattupalli, Pulicat, Kottai Kuppam, Thangal Perumbulam, Kattur, Voyalur, Thiruvellaivoyal, AR Palayam and Neithavoyal panchayats. 

The distribution of these bicycles will be undertaken from August 17th, 2022 onwards in the presence of Panchayat Leaders, Headmasters and Government officials. The primary objective of this initiative is to reduce the number of dropouts from schools in these panchayats and to also enable students to commute and access their schools with ease, while focussing on their studies.
