Gold Winner’s “Little Miss and Master Chef” culinary competition attracts 300 children, setting a unique record at Phoenix Marketcity

  • The goal of this culturally diverse cooking competition is to improve children’s emotional learning experiences

Chennai, 13th November 2022: In celebration of Children’s Day, Phoenix Marketcity today organized the preliminary round of Gold Winner’s “Little Miss and Master Chef” powered by Fresheys, a one-of-a-kind culinary competition for young MasterChefs. The contest witnessed over 300 children across ages 7-12 coming together to showcase their culinary masterpiece. The delicacies presented by the children were judged by an esteemed panel of judges. The event also successfully entered into Asia Book of Record for the collating together the “ Largest video Album of Cooking by Children ” wherein  the children uploaded their cooking video on a virtual platform. The event is conceptualised by IRIS Events.

The culinary extravaganza was designed with the intention of instilling excellent habits among each child with responsibility and independence while cooking. Under the supervision of their parents, children made their favourite foods ranging from appetisers to desserts. Visitors were enticed to the mall by specially curated dishes made by the children using unique ingredients, Gold Winner Oil, and Freshy’s paneer. A cultural ensemble of foods with diverse flavours that were deep-rooted to their culture and tradition was showcased during this event. 

Speaking on the occasion Chef Koushik S. A.K.A. Mad Chef, the jury for this competition stated that” I’m super excited and always down to encourage and be a part of initiatives like this that bring out their hidden culinary talent among children. I’ve always loved mentoring young chefs, and I believe that it’s important to help them find their voice and give them the tools they need to succeed in this industry. I can’t wait to see what these kids have up their sleeves!”

The selected winners will set the tone for the grand finale, which will also include a fashion show, a dancing and singing competition for children aged between 5 to 12. On November 19, 2022, the grand finale will be hosted at the Palladium mall, Velachery, Chennai.
