Miss Kowshika L, Class 8 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus bagged the First prize in the 3rd District Level Vovinam Championship in girls(U-14) category Long Ho Quyen event organised by Chennai District Vovinam Association affiliated to Tamilnadu Vovinam Association, Vovinam Association of India, held in Human Aura Arts Academy, Aminjikarai recently.
Kowshika proved her mettle with a good score of 19 points out of 20 in the final round and qualified for the State Level Championship scheduled in January 2022.
This Vietnamese Martial Art Championship at the district level saw around 50 participants from various schools across the state.
Vovinam is practised with and without weapons.
