“Pongal Kondattam” at Nexus Vijaya Mall
Chennai, 10 January 2024: Pongal, the festival of harvest and the most awaited Tamil festival of the year, is around the corner. To remember the importance of the Tamil tradition and culture deeply rooted in Pongal festive celebrations, Nexus Vijaya Mall has planned two days of festivities on 13th January and 14th January.
To showcase the ancient cultural art forms to visitors, Nexus Vijaya Mall offers all visitors a unique opportunity to witness in these age-old art forms that brings the Tamil community together. Folk dances such as Parai Attam, Poi Kaal Kuthirai, a Fire act, and a Silambattam performance, aim to honor the significance of Tamil tradition deeply rooted in Pongal celebrations.
Participants can get a creative and hands-on experience by making pottery artifacts, which can be taken home and is open for all-age groups. There are special workshops exclusively designed for kids. Nexus Vijaya Mall invites everyone to partake in the celebration and embrace the rich Tamil culture synonymous with Pongal festivities.
